Postcards, Beach and SS Blocks.

I joined in for Sheila's Christmas Postcard Swap and  Lin was my partner.

This is the lovely postcard she sent to me.....
Big thanks to both Sheila for organising the swap and Lin for my beautiful Christmas Postcard...

We've had very high tides lately sew this is what the beach looks like...

I love the way it always changes...

While walking along I collect small pieces of drift wood and had fun this week making this Wonky Christmas Tree....

Been busy trying to catch up with my SS blocks..

Made these 12 over the past few days... Some are being made MY WAY... a little bit of cheating to make them easier...LOL..

Hope you are all getting everything done for Christmas...

Christmas is on it's way, Last FnwFs...

While driving home from the big smoke yesterday for hundreds of Kms I enjoyed the  Aussie Christmas Trees in bloom... They look beautiful against the brown dry landscape...

I was home time to join Cheryll and ladies for our last FnwFs for 2016.....

Managed to put the binding on the GGC's Advent Calendars . They will receive them a few days late but I am sure they will enjoy peeping in more than one pocket on the 5th day....

I will visit the other ladies HERE over the next few days... A huge thank you Cheryll for organising us all year even when you were busy with your grandies and away on holidays...

Happy Stitching

The Week that Was...

First I can show you the "Christmas Post Card" that went winging it's way over to Lin in France..

Thanks Sheila for organising another fun Post Card Swap....

After returning from our little trip in the Humpy and going to my SIL's special birthday in the Big Smoke last weekend it was time to try and catch up on my "Splendid Sampler Blocks"

Boy I didn't realise how far behind I am... Ah well I'll just keep plodding along...

Two weeks ago I joined Joy for the UFO Christmas Challenge . I had started the " Jingle Bell "  table runner by Red Brolley  some time ago...

When my Patch friend Jan saw the pattern we decided it would be a great project "Mystery Christmas" workshop for our club members.

We sent out the fabric requirements and today when we got together at the Autumn Center were we revealed the pattern... ( it was a good way to get me organised and finish it )

All loved it and had a busy time putting all the squares together and ironing on the applique pieces before it was time to up pack and go home.

OH! and I found two more UFO Christmas projects when going through the Christmas fabric box.....

Two Advent Calendars...  Will make them up for my GGC for an early Christmas present.

Hope you all have a great weekend and get to do some stitching..

Not much

sewing going on here... Seam to have lost my Mojo after sewing every spare minute to get the quilt in previous post done..

Have been busy clean up after some big winds. One of the our huge Gum trees fell down on top of my Moreton Bay and broke it in two. I have grown it from a tiny little plant I found growing in a crack along our main street called Moreton Terrace..

I do hope it will shoot again at the top.

Also I did a bit of baking which is very unusual for me, really don't like cooking at all..

                                                                Banana Muffins

Fruit Cake.

Today I saw that Fiona from BugzRugz has joined a Christmas Challenge organised by Joy sew I thought I'd join in and finish my only Christmas UFO..
You can go over HERE and join in too.

Okay I am off to start sewing these blocks together

Happy Stitching
