The Box

Remember the BOX!!!!! Well I was invited to the

shed on Xmas Eve by DH, DD2 and the GC to re-
move the tarp.

There was not ONE but THREE BOXES which contained!

I was soooo pleased with my beautiful gift from the family and we had fun putting it together.

After taking out the peices we dropped the screws back in the box. Lucky Alex was able to be put inside the big box to get them.

Zoe was in charge of the cushions.

Of course I had to try out the first one we put together. OH very comfy.
Hope you all had a great Xmas XX

Fun with Family

Was a beautiful morning when the GC,DD2
and I went to the beach for our morning swim.

On our return to the block the children decided to decorate some trees on the block. Very nice Zoe and Alex.

Do you like my Reindeer???LOL

In the afternoon we had a lovely walk along the beach and collected shells. Can you see how far Alex went???

All will be Revealed??

Tonight we had "Carols in the Domain" on tele.
I spent a very pleasant evening listening to the
singing as I sewed. Completed my last two
Xmas gifts.
They are all wrapped ready for Santa to deliver them.LOL. Will post pics after xmas. There is also a BIG mystery  box in our garage. It appeared when I returned from Pertth this week. Niether DH or I have mentioned it so I THINK it is a Santa box. I suppose all will be revealed soon????? I can hear DD2 chuckle if she reads my post as I think she was in on the appearance of said box.

YES!!!

YES!!  I made it on time. Finished pressing at 11.55pm.
It's Friday and before I could get stuck into my "Sew In"

I needed to tidy my sewing room. As you can see there is not much room to
work on the cutting table. Also I may need the ironing board so best clear that off too.

Finally I am ready to sew.

First I finished the binding on two small wall hangings. Then I hemmed a throw to use over the table on Xmas day. The flies can be very friendly in Aussie.

GD2 asked Santa for a new pillowslip for her "V" pillow.Amazing what we can find in our stash when needed in a hurry.

Do you think she will like what Santa is bringing her??

Lucky Me!!

This is a good time of year to collect the mail because I got a litttle card in the post box again today.

Two more parcels!! Lots of cards and the usual junk mail.

Received a BIG parcel from my friend Nicky. I was very spoilt as she has made me a lovely wall hanging, some homemade jam, serviettes and a little Xmas box tied with a bow which I have put under the tree.

The second LITTLE parcel was also very special as it was my "INCHIE" swap from the Netherlands. I love it and have hang it in my tree. The card Francoise send along with it has a gorgeous Quilt on the front.

Red Hatters Xmas Lunch

We had a wonderful time at the Red Hatters Lunch. Joyce is the joker of the group and always willing to keep us laughing. Today she arrived with her hat wrapped in tinsel, baubles hanging of her ears and lots of bling.

The Crimson Butterflies from Geralton joined us and after a BIT of chatting we had a lovely meal.

Because we had all been such good girls this year Santa and his little elf arrived to hand out gifts to all of us.
Of course he had to wear his purple suit for this occasion!!Louise must have been extra good as she got a BIG kiss from Santa

Tomorrow I will put up my little tree and hang some tinsel from the ceiling.
Put the fairy lights up around the patio.
Then wait for all the family to arrive. I am sure the littlies will love it and will be anxiously waiting for Santa to comeTo "Oma's and Pops" house.

In's and Out's

After a rather busy week I have managed to finish two projects that are going OUT of the house. I am very pleased with my little Xmas wall hanging that was a freebie from the Gum Tree Designers. Also my tote bag which I have made as my Xmas gift for my Red Hatters Xmas lunch on Saturday.

When I went to check my mail this morning I was delighted to have a little card in my box which means I had something to collect from inside the post office. The lady handed me not one BUT two parcels. My absolutely gorgeous ornament/handmade card swap from Lynda.

Also the giveaway I won from Heidi for joining in her "Friday Night Sewing Night"

Found this one of  my youngest grandson. My DD2 and family are in Grey Company. A re-enactment group. So dress ups are not unusal in their home .I just love this one and thought I would share it.

Ready to Go

Another gift ready to go in the mail.
I really had fun stitching this "Calender Holder"

Now I can try and get my sewing room in some sort of order.

I seem to have fabric, pattern books, pins and an assortment of other sewing bits and pieces all over the room.

Then I can get back to the boxes on the shelf.

Friday Night Sew In

Well I can't say I achieved what I wanted. Had the machine all set up with my cruise control unit so I could finish quilting a mystery quilt I
started last year. Wanted to do a wavey line across the quilt but it went pear shape and now I need to do some reverse sewing.

Then I decided to make a calender holder I saw on Julia's Place .Was going to start it this afternoon BUT!!!

This is waht I have done so far. Still have a lot of stitching to do before it is finished. Hope to have it in the mail next week.
