January OPAM for 2016

I am delighted to be joining   Peg  and  Kris for OPAM again this year... You can still sign up with either ladies if you hurry.....
 For this month I only can show one finish ( other's are a secret ) but it's a big one....



The Postage Stamp........ 52" X 73" made in 1 1/2" squares..




Quilted it in the ditch 4 blocks across and 5 down... Looks like envelopes on the back...





It had been hiding in one of my boxes since 2011 sew I am very happy to have completely finished....

First FNSI for 2016

this week 53 ladies have joined in for FNSI with lovely Wendy.... I continued working on my Postage Stamp for awhile till I got bored





then I did some of  Lynette Anderson BOM stitchery I started in 20?? a long time ago....




Afterwards I sorted through some of my UFOs that I will list for Sew it's Finished  organised by two fabulous ladies Dawn and Wendy... I am sew pleased they are running the blog again this year.






Over the weekend I will visit others HERE to see what they have been doing......

Sometimes

you just need to have fun..... Sew I have joined Irene for the Neighborhood Block Party  .....

Sew after my lovely walk along the beach, then a dip and coffee with my friends this morning I went home and into the Cave to rummaged through my box of brights.....

Guess I need to get back to sewing more Postage Stamp Blocks....boring!!!!!!!!!!!

First FnwFs for 2016

I decided to start the year off by working on my old UFOs... sew for FnwFs organised by Cheryll I worked on my "Postage Stamp" which I started in 2011....


There was lots of cutting

Yeh, thats five, another 10 to go......






It is a repetitive ,boring job ( I know why I have put it aside before) sew I decided to do some fun sewing. 

One of my lovely older bobbing friends is having a birthday soon and I like to make useful gifts. 
I made these for Helen.....








Such fun to sew and now I am ready to attack more Postage Stamp sewing tonight with my Northern Hemisphere friends....

Thank you Cheryll for pushing us all along again this year... Will be visiting others HERE over the next few days...

Show and Tell and FnwFs

When I went to the post office last week there were some more nice parcels for me... Love long Christmases....


Gifts from my friend Ellyn in Texas...

pretty Hexie bookmark , lovely felt raccoon pattern  and cute Texas thimble  gifts wrapped in great Christmas Fabric..

Also wrapped my gifts in this lovely red Christmas fabric. Great handy wee Star card holder, some fabulous Christmas buttons







and a gorgeous Wall Hanging .. Love the colours you used Sunny and it looks great on the wall.






Di now lives in Florida USA.
